Learn to sew

Level 1

Skills and Techniques:

• Learn how to thread a sewing machine.
  
• Learn the anatomy of a sewing machine.
  
• Learn about sewing tools and terminology.
  
• Go over different stitches and seam finishes (straight stitch, backstitch, zig zag stitch, etc.)

Complete 2 projects by the end of the class

Four classes in 2 weeks. Classes Monday and Wednesday 90 min. each class, or 2 classes Saturday 3 hours each class

Fabric and supplies are included.

Just bring your own scissors and tape measure.

No previous sewing experience needed.

Little girl Dress #1 workshop

Level 2. (must have completed 1 sewing course or equivalent)

Skirt workshop

Level 2. (must have completed 1 sewing course or equivalent)

There will be fun homework in this course (purchasing fabric for your project, washing it, cutting it out) but this takes time. Please be prepared to do your homework outside of class!

• regular zipper installation 
  
• double fold hem 
  
• How to make pleats on the skirt
  

Pans workshop (elastic waist)

Level 2. (must have completed 1 sewing course or equivalent)

There will be fun homework in this course (purchasing fabric for your project, washing it, cutting it out) but this takes time. Please be prepared to do your homework outside of class!

Dress workshop

Level 3. (must have completed 2 sewing course or equivalent and level 2 workshop)

(must have completed 1 sewing course or have sewing skills)
